Biography....David started singing at a young age and as a member of the National Music Youth Theatre played lead roles in musical productions such as ‘Whistle down the wind‘ and ‘Annie’.
On leaving school David studied classical voice at The Welsh College of Music and Drama and was awarded 2 scholarships by the college and successfully attained a Hons degree. David then went on to achieve a Post Graduate Diploma in acting and musical theatre at Mountview Conservatoire for the performing arts. At Mountview David gained 2 further scholarships 1 of which was by recommendation of the Mackintosh Foundation. Following his academic success in music David performed in principal roles in a number of operas and musicals including Boris in Paradise Moscow and Anthony in Sweeney Todd. His professional experience then went on to include national tours of Phantom of the Opera and The Merry Widow with Carl Rosa Opera. As an actor David has appeared in a number of TV adverts and the BBC series Torchwood. David has worked as a guest artist for the Wales Tourist Board touring New York, Chicago, Washington, Toronto and Ireland promoting the musical culture of Wales. |
